All websites that are
hosted come with a statistic package to analyze the web traffic. The reason
for this is for you to know how many visitors are coming or viewing your
web site, how much bandwidth you are using, what visitors are looking and why
they ended up on your website, what page of your site is the most popular, and
which one is the least viewed. The only information you can get is the email
address and where they are located. In some cases, if it is really that
important, you can get some ideas if you are willing to put a lot of effort and
spend money on expensive software.
There are 2(two) ways of tracking your site, it can either be done by server-side or remotely. In server-side, log files are use to generate visitor information. This is much more accurate than remotely hosted solutions. In such cases, you generally have to add a javascript to your web site. For this, javascript is used to track the visitors information.
