White Hat SEO Improves Website Link Popularity

We have different strategies on website optimization, making our website get indexed and get a ranking easily by search engines. The most regarded that plays a major role in optimizing is link popularity. Why? It is because some search engines require at least one link coming to your website or else they will drop you from their index. Hence, some black hat SEO approaches are now on practice, like bookmarking tools that can bookmark a website to different social bookmarking sites in just a minute, but this method will result to spamming and possibly  be penalized by search engines.  The good technique and worry free is white hat SEO yet it requires time and dedication. Here are some basic white hat SEO methods

1.     Look for relevant websites having a forum, leave a message and include your website URL in your signature. It is better to place your URL in a website with higher ranking so that the link point to your website can easily be recognized by search engines and this could be a hit to increase your link popularity.

2.  Register your website in major directories such as yahoo, looksmart and open directory project. Be sure to place your URL in exact category.

3.     Conduct link exchange. Before asking for a link exchange, list all the websites you already have linked with and then create criteria for a website that you are searching for.

Example:

-      Website must have at least 4 PR.

-      Website must have relevant directories and much better, the topic is the same with yours.

-   Website must not contain any vulgar topic such as "sex in any way","pills", "viagra", "gambling" etc.

-       The target category must not contain more than 30 sites.

-   If your website will be placed, it must always be seen in the first page or else disregard.

4.     Exchanging links with popular websites is significant, but beware on your outgoing links, because Google diminish link popularity if you have much. Thus, links to your website is more important and if possible, it is better not to link back.
